Today we saw a lot of tuna but they just did not cooperate like they have recently. It was a slow day for everyone, except a few boats that did manage to catch a few. We did get one bite and were not able to put him in the boat. Not much more than that happened until we made the move to the inshore grounds for some cod.
Inside there was plenty of cod for our group, with drop and reel fishing again. We only made three short drifts and caught just under a box of cod before we headed home.
There are still plenty of tuna and cod in the area and it should remain strong until late October.
