What a day it was once again! The cod bite is on big time, as it usually is up here.
Just about a carbon copy of the last trip…a great morning followed by a short quite period and off away we went from the fleet to find our own fish…and that we did. Once we got on them, it was once again non-stop drop and reel fishing with all large market cod, a bunch of 15 plus pounders and a bonus of nice pollack. There were plenty of doubles to be had and it was a slow ride home to fillet our limit of cod and a bunch of pollack. The guys worked hard and got it done, sore arms will prevail tomorrow.
Don’t miss out, we still have dates left, but not too many. More warm weather is coming and the fish will be here for a long time to come.
