Today we had it all, after having to work hard yesterday to put together a good catch, today it came easy. The fish were still there thick as could be and biting like mad dog as soon as we arrived. All boxes full and fish all over the deck.
Cod and pollack were coming over the rail for about two hours before it slowed to a pick. Then off to the haddock grounds for steady pick with a strong current that made it difficult, but we did catch haddock. After a few hours we went back inside to find the cod were on the feed once again and we made a few more drifts and finished up with a bunch more of market and large cod and then back to the barn. Overstuffed bags of fillets were taken home.
